Dr. Maria Costantini-Ferrando

Dr. Maria Costantini-Ferrando is board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology. Prior to her medical training Dr. Costantini-Ferrando received a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University and obtained fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where she specialized in the psychological aspects of medical illness. After a successful career in clinical psychology, she received her medical degree from Weill Medical College of Cornell University. She completed her residency at the New York Presbyterian Hospital –Weill Cornell Medical Center in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology where she received an excellence in teaching award from the society of Alpha Omega Alpha, where she is a lifetime member. She then obtained her fellowship training in Reproductive Medicine at the Weill Cornell Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility. At Cornell, Dr. Costantini-Ferrando was involved in several research studies including the effect of stress on reproductive outcome, endocrinological predictors of ovarian response, male factor infertility, IVF protocols and fertility preservation in cancer patients. She has presented her work at numerous scientific meetings of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and authored several research papers in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Costantini-Ferrando’s areas of interest include ovulation induction, in vitro fertilization, fertility-related surgery.
