Thomas J. Kim, M.D.

Dr. Thomas J. KimDr. Kim is a board certified reproductive endocrinologist, obstetrician and gynecologist who has completed extensive research in many areas of reproductive medicine. Previously, he was with CHA Fertility Center in Los Angeles. From 1998-2005 he was also Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of California, San Diego. Dr. Kim earned his MD degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and he completed his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health. He is the author of several scientific publications including a chapter on vitrification of human oocytes for Textbook of Assisted Reproductive Techniques. His research efforts including landmark studies of oocyte cryopreservation have been covered be leading media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, People Magazine and The Boston Globe. Dr. Kim speaks fluent Korean. His areas of special interest include fertility preservation by vitrification of eggs, laparoscopic microsurgery including tubal reanastomosis, and endometriosis.
