Original Research from RMANJ has Broad-Reaching Implications for Improving Success in IVF
Research Designated “Seminal Contribution” in April Issue of Fertility & Sterility
A new study conducted by Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey has shown that an optimized method of Comprehensive Chromosome Screening (CCS) is the first technology capable of accurate aneuploidy screening (abnormal number of chromosomes) of all 24 chromosomes in four hours.

Dr. Lawrence Grunfeld, Infertility Specialist at RMA of New York, discusses Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis and Screening. Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) is an advanced genetic technique that allows an individual embryo to be analyzed. PGD is a recommended procedure for patients who are affected by a genetic condition or are carriers of a genetic anomaly and are at risk of passing the anomaly on to their offspring. Preimplantation Genetic Screening (PGS), on the other hand, may be used when patients do not have a known genetic disorder, but are experiencing infertility related to recurrent miscarriage or unsuccessful IVF cycles. PGD technology used with in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment can improve the likelihood of a successful and healthy pregnancy.
